About Pyramis (a message from our founder)
Whilst employed and studying my ACCA Professional Qualification to compliment my role, one thing struck me - the startling rate of how many small businesses fail. It was scary.
I’ve always admired those brave enough to go out on their own and start up their own businesses, especially those that want to bring something special to the world or follow their passion. But the truth was - a lot of them would fail! When I looked further, I saw that this was partially because of a lack of expertise in financial knowledge or financial support. I saw that this was something I could help with.
Pyramis Solutions grew out of a desire to help provide an outsourced financial solution that brought together my skill set and experience, providing small businesses with a budget-friendly package designed to suit their needs. This way we can offer support through their journey until the business is strong enough to take on their own internal staff.

As a small business owner myself, I have walked a similar path and faced similar challenges which uniquely altered my perspective as an advisor, something we have incorporated into our methodologies of work. We understand that flexibility and creativity is sometimes needed to deal with the ever-changing world of small business.
Value for our client is super important, and I am proud of my team who deliver with enthusiasm and excellence. Our ethos is one of authenticity, respect, and integrity and it flows through everything we do. Pyramis Solutions cares as much for its team as it does for its clients - having the right people doing the right things is essential in adding value and as we have grown over the years, the Pyramis team delivers this. As a collective we are now more akin to an outsourced finance department and offer services you would normally task your internal team. |
In addition we now have a sister company, Pyramis Accountancy Ltd, that offers statutory accounting services in the Pyramis way.

VickiFCCA – Founder of Pyramis Solutions Ltd
Hi, I’m Vicki and I’m the founder of Pyramis Solutions. As you would expect, I am a qualified Accountant and a Fellow Member of the ACCA. I’ve been working in finance since 2002 and have always worked in the SME sector, within a business and ultimately that’s the work I enjoy. I like making meaning from the numbers and use them to help make important decisions come to life. I’m a curious person and have always enjoyed exploring new skillsets especially around management methodologies. When I left my full-time role to set up Pyramis Solutions, I embarked on a journey through the world of ‘Coaching’ and in that time have become a qualified coach, DISC Practitioner, Goal Mapping Practitioner, NLP Practitioner and studied Motivational Maps. I quite like my Tech, there are always new ways to do things and exciting developments, so I naturally gravitate to utilising techy tools, I must admit, I love exploring a new piece of kit! When I’m not working I do enjoy reading, escaping into a good box set, painting or making stuff. What I enjoy the most is being able to bring all these interests, skills and experience together in the way we work at Pyramis and how we deliver for our clients, genuinely helping to take them forward. This has been an amazing journey so far, not always easy, as any business owner is likely to say but I have always had a strong ‘why’ to keep me going. It’s great to be a part of such a great business community, have great people around me and I really feel a part of the team when working with my clients, this is why I set up Pyramis Solutions, thank you all! x
AliceHello, I’m Alice and I started working with Pyramis Solutions earlier this year as their Financial Administrator. I work closely with our clients, in both Xero and Quickbooks, helping them to keep their financial records in order. I have a 1st Class Masters in Mathematics from the University of Manchester and I have just started studying towards my ACCA qualification. I am very excited about where it may lead, as the qualification can open up all sorts of doors and could take me in directions I haven’t even considered yet! I’m originally from North Devon and now live in South Wales with my family. I love the flexibility that working with the team brings as I can work from home and balance my work with studying and looking after my young son. In my spare time, there’s nothing I enjoy more than getting out and exploring the beautiful places around me with my family. |

AlisonAfter studying for a music degree I worked as a freelance French horn player. But I soon realised that, while I loved the performances, I didn’t want this to be my long-term career. I was looking for something that satisfied my love of puzzles and logic, and gave me a career with varied opportunities. It turned out that accountancy was the perfect fit! I trained as a chartered accountant in audit, working with a range of clients from small businesses to large private and listed companies. Following a move to Australia in 2010 I worked as finance manager for a law firm and as an in-house accountant for a global engineering consultancy. In these roles I covered all areas of finance, including management and financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management and payroll. I returned to Bristol in 2017 with my husband and two young children and took the opportunity to start up my own practice, which offered a more flexible working environment. I’ve translated that flexibility and adaptability into how I work with my clients, and am drawing on all my previous experience to provide tailor-made accountancy services to local businesses in the South West. I began working with Pyramis Solutions in 2020 and enjoy being part of the team. When I’m not working I’m kept busy looking after my two children and striving to grow enough vegetables in our garden to be self-sufficient! Having started my professional life as a musician I still fit in as much music as I can, and enjoy playing with a number of amateur groups in the Bristol area. x
StefanieI have worked in finance since 2014, and have a lot of experience with setting up financial processes and keeping data consistent and accurate. I enjoy being organised and problem solving around these areas and whilst I was a finance administrator within Pyramis Solutions for a few years who worked with clients, I made the shift in 2020 into an internal office role within the company which has given me the freedom to get more involved with projects from many other departments of the business. My interests outside of work include philosophy, psychology, arts & crafts, gaming and taking care of my handful of house plants. |
